How do I find out if a doll is worth anything?

My grandmother collected dolls for many, many years. She passed away a few years ago and left all her dolls to my mother. She would like to sell them but wants to make sure she doesn't sell a very expensive doll for $10. What is the best way to research these dolls and sell them without getting taken advantage of?

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!|||You really need to be able to do your homework on this subject.

First you need to identify the dolls/makers.

Then once you know what kind of dolls you have try the next website.

You can also try looking on Ebay to compare what the going rate maybe on the dolls.

Hopefully these websites will also help you;

Good luck!!|||Check you local book store, most have extensive section on collectibles. EBay is another place to look to get a fair market value. If you have any antique stores in your area you can bring a few of the dolls in for the buyer / owner to take a look at, must places are very helpful. Best of luck.
