Does it lower the value of an antique cloth doll to repair it?

This is a cloth doll that was reported to be about 100 years old. It had a tear at the neck. It looks to have some repairs which have been done by hand years (!) ago. The length armature is wooden and broken, thus the head slumps. Does anyone know if repairing the armature and hole would significantly devalue the doll?|||If the repair is done professionally and correctly it will no more reduce the value of the doll than the damage that is already done.
