I tried selling my doll collection in various places such as Ebay, Craig's list and the list goes on. I can not seem to get the money back which I paid for them and can not seem to find serious doll collectors who are willing to pay what they are worth. I want to clear out the dolls from my house and no longer have interest in them|||You are finding out what other sellers are finding out; The economy is in the dumpers, and any prospective buyers will give you low-ball offers. In short. it's a buyers' market in homes, and most everything else, including dolls. Many people who have not lost their homes to foreclosure are buying only necessities. Count your blessings if your family is not affected.
Do you need to sell them quickly? If not, here is what I would do. The economy will improve, but it will be 2, and more than likely 3 years before it does. Carefully pack your dolls and store them in a cool, dry place. Unpack and sell them in 2013. As a side benefit, they may actually increase in value during this time.
You have to be like doctors and nurses: Have 'patients.' ;-)
